Montblanc UltraBlack 2021 collection – The Feuerle Collection in Berlin hosted the global launch of Montblanc UltraBlack, the first complete collection of the luxury Maison that includes multiple product categories united by a design total black. Located in an impressive concrete bunker converted into a minimalist exhibition space, The Feuerle Collection opened its doors exclusively in Montblanc for the presentation of the new collection.
The immersive experience designed for the launch was inspired by black, an absolute color and an expression of refinement, which has been at the heart of the brand’s identity since 1906, the year the Maison was founded: ebonite is the main material used for the production of the first Montblanc writing instruments and black is one of the two colors of the emblem created in 1913.
VIP guests joined Montblanc CEO Nicolas Baretzki for a welcome cocktail followed by a dinner and performance by Alessandro Ristori and the Portofinos: Peggy Gou, Tom Felton, Pom Klementieff, Bianca Brandolini, Anna Maria Mühe, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Sam Riley and Trystan Putter and the dancer Isaac Hernandez. The new Montblanc UltraBlack accessories, including the Montblanc UltraBlack backpack, the 1858 Geosphere UltraBlack watch, the Montblanc MB 01 UltraBlack over-ear headphones and the Montblanc UltraBlack mini briefcase, were displayed in the gallery, illuminated by a clever play of lights and shadows.
Celebrating the contemporaneity of Montblanc’s most iconic color, the collection is characterized by essential design and timeless elegance and includes different categories of products, from leather goods to writing instruments and from watches to new smart technologies. A bold expression of a sophisticated and modern style, each creation has been designed to inspire those who are looking for functionality, versatility and style as they take the path towards achieving their goals.

Mobility, performance and elegance are the hallmarks of the Montblanc UltraBlack leather goods collection, which includes a backpack, a clutch and a mini bag. They feature the House’s unmistakable features, such as the original ‘M’ motif inspired by geometry and archival lettering, a tribute to the richness of Montblanc’s heritage. Bolder than ever, the all-over ‘M’ motif is embossed leather.
The iconic emblem, reinterpreted in a new key for this occasion, has been transformed and used as a practical closure in anodized aluminum, becoming a distinctive design element. Always on the move thanks to elegant and functional travel companions in leather: the backpack is equipped with internal and external pockets, as well as a padded compartment for the laptop; the clutch and mini bag can be worn or carried by hand thanks to the removable shoulder strap.

For the second edition of the “What Moves You, Makes You” brand campaign, Montblanc presents two new Mark Makers, actor Cillian Murphy and internationally renowned DJ Peggy Gou. After highlighting the travels of award-winning director Spike Lee, actor Taron Egerton, actor, singer and writer Chen Kun and actress Xin Zhi Lei, Montblanc tells the stories of two other outstanding Mark Makers: Cillian Murphy and Peggy Gou.
Irish film and theater actor Cillian Murphy, who has starred in films such as the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception and Dunkirk and the critically acclaimed TV series Peaky Blinders, always aims to improve and engage others through his performances.
“The emotion of the story is a key element for me. If I can’t be transported into the story and feel the truth of the interpretation, it means that something has gone wrong both as an actor and as a spectator, ”explains Cillian.
The South Korean Peggy Gou, indulging her passions, has managed to achieve success as a DJ, record producer and fashion entrepreneur in a very personal way.
